Katy Perry is one of the most popular ladies on the planet at present. She has sold over 30 million singles worldwide; she has been number one in 16 countries and with a string of awards under her belt. Miss Perry is undoubtedly, a superstar.
Here is a little background information just in case you are unfamiliar with Katy. Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), better known by the stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer-songwriter, musician and actress.
Perry grew up listening to only gospel music and sang in her local church as a child. After earning a GED during her freshman year of high school, she began to pursue a music career. She released a self-titled gospel album in 2001 as Katy Hudson, which was deemed unsuccessful due to the closing of its record label that year. She later recorded an album with production team The Matrix and completed the majority of a solo album from 2004–2005, neither of which was released.
Katy failed to chart a song until 2008 with “I Kissed a girl”, which went onto to top international charts.
From then on, Katy has been a global success, releasing hit track after hit track. This year she was a guest judge on UK hit TV show The X Factor. Later during the live results show she performed her brand new track “Fireworks”.

Personally I don’t think she sound that spectacular, compared to some of the contestants in the show. However, you cannot deny, Kate has got talent!
